I've searched this and come across some old threads, but they've not been useful. I've got two documents open in the same window, copied and pasted, 'move'd... and I can't get the objects shifted. Any advice?
Cheers
Thanks for the advice, the latest build I can see in both the link to latest version and the Windows folder is 2.1.0. I've installed that and copy/paste hasn't worked and neither does Move.
After trials I have to confirm there is a serious bug about copy and paste. Not only you can't shift but also dimensions are displayed wrong and hatches disappear. After some editing like move / copy in - modify- some properties seem rectified, but not all. Redraw shows no effect. Same in 2.0.10. Haven't tried 2.2 master series yet.
Yes, I can confirm that with the latest master nightly on win xp things seem to be all right now.
It's a pity though, that the otherwise splendid 2.1 release carries this bug. It might have been a mistake not to wait until solstice. Full moon just is not as powerful...
It wasn't a quick bug fix; the feature wasn't written to consider all objects.
A new contributor (Equoda) did significant work enhancing this feature.
2.1 already had a ridiculous amount of changes for a single release;
and I'm satisfied with my alternatives for the QCAD toolbar.
2.0 has crashes, the generation of invalid objects, hundreds of memory leaks,
and can be silently stuck in a plugin's loop after closing.
Due to significant code changes
applying the fixes to the 2.0 branch would mean doubling my effort.
I just want to add something to sam's answer.
The targeted drawing should be open by the same application/window of the source drawing.
If you run two separate LibreCad app in the same time, the copy & paste between those two drawing won't work.
ps: i only check this in my ubuntu 18.04 machine.
