Hello   LibreCAD users,   I have been trying to get to the basics of LibreCAD but find that the dimensions to the shapes that that draw are not visible, there is a box where the dimensions should be but no dimensions..     I say that but when i first had a look at this the dimensions were there.  A fundamental blocker for me ?    Any suggestions ?

check whether draft mode is enabled or not. In draft mode, texts are no drawn (only box around the text is visible)

Switch off View - "Draft" mode. It simplifies text to boxes to speed up screen rendering.

Thank you .  Sand 1024      My problem appears to be similar to this post with an association to the pan/zoom, that i have found in the forum.

"When doing dimensions I only get a box above the dim line.
I have read many posts on this forum on this issue.  However, none of the fixes work.
I recently downloaded LibreCAD.  I am using  version 2.2.0.2
I am NOT in Draft mode!
I saved my drawing then closed the program.  I reopened the program and my drawing.
The dimensions were magically shown above the dim lines.
I can Zoom In/Out/Previous/Auto/Window and the dimension numbers continue to be shown.
However, when I Zoom/Pan, all the dimensions turn into boxes again.
Help Please. "

well, this is quite old version - why don't you try 2.2.1 or even 2.2.2-alpha?

OK   I'll see where i can download it these versions.   I got my current version from Source Forge.

Do you have any links where I can get these versions including the   ( alpha )   version ?

Reading the above mentioned post i can see that clicking the RH mouse button after the pan zoom restores the dimensions and removes the outline box.

Thank you for taking the time to reply.

Thank you sand1024

I've loaded this version and given it a quick check.   After pan zoom i am using RH mouse click to restore dimensions.
