Offset lines - multiple all of a sudden

For years I have been using librecad for some small projects.  I am used to clicking on a construction line offset a specific distance from an existing line.  All of a sudden a few days ago, I am now getting MULTIPLE lines -  O 10 (inches) - used to have one line exactly 10 inches from the original  Now I have one 10 inches offset AND one 10 inches off that or 20 off original AND one 10 inches off that or 30 off original   How to i change this back to just the one new line?  Thanks

Probably formerly you have used Modify - Offset, and now you use Line - Parallel. It has a setting for the number of parallels in the tool options bar.

THANK YOU!  it wasn't a big deal but was driving me crazy!  
I don't know how it got changed but i did see that 3 in the options bar so know i know.
