Printing at multiple scales on one sheet?

danbr
I've searched the manuals and forum with no luck . . . .

I have a drawing with items that need to print at different scales.  For example, a sheet with an architectural floor plan (1/4"=1'-0", or 1:48) and an architectural wall section (3/4" = 1'-0", or 1:16).

Obviously, these items were drawn at "full scale"

How can I set up the printing so that everything (including the sheet title block) prints at the correct scale?

I'm running version 2.1.3 on OpenSUSE Linux . . . . if that makes a difference.

Thanks!

Dan

LibreCAD doesn't support multiple scales on one sheet. This is an advanced feature commercial packages have.
If you want to edit and print the drawing in LibreCAD you will have to make several drawings/prints out of it, quite some tinkering.
If it's just about printing you might try to obtain a pdf version of the drawing.

Basically you draw a rectangle with the size of the paper, copy/scale your drawings into it, then print that rectangle.
Could also be a new drawing just made for printing...
The first times you will have to do some try/error but it should be easy to figure

Had the same issue. I required 1:100, 1:200, and 1:50 drawings on the same sheet. The 1:200 drawings were more and required a lot more annotation. So I drew all at 1:1 scale and scaled up or down only those drawings with the fewer annotation requirements. Of course the annotations went haywire with the scaling. So I added the dimension lines as line drawings and the dimensions as text. A bit more work but that seemed the only workable hack available to me.

"So I added the dimension lines as line drawings and the dimensions as text."
You could also explode the dimension annotations and then correct the dimension text.
Or override the dimension label manually via "Properties".

Great idea. Will try it out and provide feedback.
