Will not select entities within a command

When using the Trim Command, I cannot select the limmiting entity. While in the Same Properties command: I cannot select the Original Entity. Click on and nothing happens.

Probably the limiting entity is a polyline, that's not possible.
You can explode the polyline to use it for for trimming.

Or is there an overlay image? Images prevents other entities from getting selected.
Put the image on a separate layer and make it invisible to test this.

I found the problem. The curser cross shape for the Trim tool has a small square port in the center that is 3 picsils wide. When I click with the vertical line in the left and center picsil, no selection, but when I click with the line in the right picsil, the function works properly. Can the selection port be increaced to include all picsil within the selection tool center?

This is unusual. You should provide information about your OS and LibreCAD version (paste Help->About infos), that we can check this with the correct version.
