new user///generice cadd, autocad, chiefarchitect, autocad, librecad

neal
25 years cadding experience, architectural designer/drafter...many drawings later found this nice cad offering in the PCLOS distro...

went thru the community version of QCAD yesterday and was about to throw in the towel because there were to many features turned off, then I loaded this and WOW! what a difference...great work folks...

anyways I'm part way thru my first garage project with this software and so far I like most of the tools I am using....

I need a break tool if anyone has a suggestion!!

Thanks

Welcome Neal,

and thanks for the praise.

When you are looking for a break tool, do you want to split single entities? Then use the Modify-Divide tool.
Or do you want to break blocks or polylines into basic entities? Then you may use the Modify-Explode tool.

Armin,

can the divide command be initiated from the command line? I looked on the list I found somewhere else on here and did not see it....

would it be difficult to code the short cuts in the menu drop down?

Thanks for your input on this

Hi Neal,

I just added "divide" and "fillet" to available commands:

https://github.com/LibreCAD/LibreCAD/commit/2a032470242048328a25e332f6cc3048b3c4413f

You can do similar changes at github.com and send in pull requests, if you can register your github.com account.
