Preview hatches dissapeared.

I'm sure I could preview hatches when I first started using them.
However, now I cannot see the preview even though the box is marked with a cross.
What need I do please?

Have you checked if the draft tool is activated or not? (RED boxes in the picture below)

I tried it with the draft option clicked and unclicked. Still not working. Actually, it does seem to work on the first try for each operation, then when I go back to edit it, it does not work.
